There's quite a simple plot to this one (which you will be familiar with if you have already seen the recent film). Our heroine Bridget finds herself unexpectedly pregnant. The problem is that she does so after brief flings with her two old flames, Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver. Bridget's dilemma? Which one of them is the Father?
This is a witty simple story and it is a very quick read indeed. It contains all the usual chaos and panic that is in a trademark Bridget Jones book and a whole host of supporting characters who are all familiar characters. It's Bridget so I can't say that I disliked it but never the less Bridget Jones's Baby: The Diaries did feel dated and formulated.
I think I'm correct in saying that this was written after the recent Bridget Jones's Baby film so I feel that it is merely a money spinner for the author that was pushed out as a film tie in. I'm fine with that, but perhaps this is a book best left to die hard Bridget fans.
